There is something powerful about May.
Spring is no longer arriving; it has arrived. The energy shifts as nature blooms in front of our eyes. The days longer. Possibilities feel closer, more tangible. For me, May represents growth in motion. It’s where intention begins to turn into action.
This year, my theme is Arrival, not as a destination, but as an ongoing journey of becoming. Arrival is about stepping more fully into who we are meant to be, even while we are still evolving. And for women, that journey often includes learning how to prioritize both health and wealth.
May is recognized as National Women’s Health Month, and while physical wellness is a critical foundation, I believe the conversation must extend far beyond the physical alone. Women’s health also encompasses emotional resilience, mental clarity, leadership capacity, and financial confidence. It reflects how we show up in our lives, our families, and our businesses.
As women, we are often exceptional at caring for others. We lead teams, build families, support communities, and drive organizations forward. But true leadership begins with self-leadership.
That means asking honest questions:
- Am I protecting my energy?
- Am I investing in my wellbeing?
- Am I building a future that supports the life I want, not just the life I am managing?
For decades, I’ve lived my life in fitness, not just as a profession, but as a purpose. I often describe myself as a “Fit-preneur”; as someone who builds impact through movement, wellness, leadership, and business.
A Fit-preneur understands that health is not separate from success; it is the foundation of it.
Whether you are leading inside a corporation, building your own business, coaching clients, teaching classes, or creating your next chapter, entrepreneurship is not defined only by ownership of a company. It is defined by ownership of your ideas, your influence, and your impact.
Some women are entrepreneurs inside organizations; they innovate, shape culture, and lead transformation from within. Others are self-preneurs, building businesses and brands from the ground up. Both require the same thing: courage and ownership.
- Ownership of your voice.
- Ownership of your choices.
- Ownership of your future.
I have learned that wealth is far more than financial success. Wealth is energy. Wealth is freedom. Wealth is confidence. Wealth is the ability to say yes to the life you are building and no to what no longer serves you. And health is what sustains it!
- You cannot pour from an empty cup.
- You cannot lead powerfully on empty energy.
- You cannot build a future while abandoning yourself in the present.
That is why I believe women must stop choosing between health and ambition. We deserve both.
- Strength and success.
- Purpose and prosperity.
- Wellness and wealth.
This is especially important as we redefine what success looks like in today’s world. It is no longer just about titles or income; it is about alignment. It is about how we feel in our bodies, our work, and our lives.
This month, I invite you to reflect on your own arrival.
- Where are you still waiting for permission?
- Where are you ready to lead more boldly?
- Where do you need to invest in yourself—physically, emotionally, professionally, and financially?
Because sometimes arrival is not about becoming something new.
Sometimes it is about facing the present MO’ment with courage and ownership.
Sometimes it is about finally recognizing the power you already hold.
In this month’s episode of A MO’ment with MO, we’ll continue this conversation, diving into women’s health, wealth, leadership, and what it truly means to thrive in business and life. We’ll explore how women can build success without sacrificing wellbeing in the process.
We’ll also unpack the intersection of health and wealth, how energy, mindset, and movement influence our ability to perform, lead, and create impact at the highest level.
Because the goal is not just to work harder.
- It is to live better.
- To lead stronger.
- To arrive fully.
And as always, I come back to my mantra (which deepens in meaning MO’re each month):
“I get to do this.”
- I get to lead.
- I get to grow.
- I get to move.
- I get to heal
- I get to serve.
- I get to build.
- I get to become.
What a gift that is.
Friends, let’s make May a month of powerful arrival, not even knowing what is ahead but trusting we are strong, courageous, resilient and ready to own it!
